The Wallace family is another one of my families who comes to me every fall for updated photos. It's been so sweet watching as their family grows. The first time I met the Wallace family, Olivia, their oldest daughter, was very young and Allison was still pregnant with their youngest, Ellie. Fast forward to now and Olivia is officially a big sister and Ellie is an entire year old and is up and running around.
We always do a quick photo session (perfect for the girls) at the pond on their property. We carry on the yearly tradition with photos under their tree and then photos with the pond and their home in the background. This year Kade had a new suggestion the he seemed really excited about. Mid session he looks at me and asks, "Hey, do you think we could do some photos in the canoe?" Of course, for me it was an immediate YES! I could see the vision and how it amazing it would look. Allison though wasn't too thrilled with the idea. But after a bit of persuasion, the family was all settled into the canoe and out on the water. It was a bit of a challenge to get two toddlers sitting down and looking in the cameras direction, especially with the excitement of being in the boat, but we managed and got the perfect shot. I always love when clients have suggestions and ideas that we can incorporate into their session. And those photos seem to always be some of mine and my clients favorites.
